ACE Weekly Update -- March 12th, 2017
What's Happening This Week: March 13th-17th
Reminder: Exit exam results are in. To review your results and plan next steps, please set an appointment with Josh through our website. Appointments are available on Tuesdays & Fridays.
On the site (www.dccaep.wixsite.com/support), click on "Book Online"
Click on "ACE Support Services"
Click on "ACE Exit Exam Review"
Click on a date to see the times available on that date. When you find a time that works for you, click "Book It" and fill in the form with your contact info.
You should immediately receive an email confirming your appointment. Make sure to write it down!
TABE testing will be happening on Monday & Tuesday. You can attend testing on either day (you don't need to come to both). Tests are offered at 9AM and 5PM.
Create a new schedule with your coach. Make sure to meet with your coach this week to choose your next adult education classes. Please do that instead of attending the scheduling sessions offered in class. We encourage you to think ahead about what times and types of classes best fit you.
Financial planning for next semester. Your coach will also be talking with you this week about how you're planning to pay for next semester's classes. Your coach will help you figure out what steps are left in your financial aid or scholarship process.
HiSET graduation is around the corner!
Did you know that we do a cap-and-gown graduation ceremony each June for all the students who've passed their HiSET during this school year? There's still time to get on the graduation list! Anyone who passes all sections of the HiSET by the end of May is eligible to walk in graduation. Talk to your coach about making a plan!
One simple first step toward taking your HiSET is to make your free student account on the HiSET website (www.hiset.ets.org). Click on "For Test Takers" then click on "Sign In/Sign Up" to make an account. Once you've made your account, you'll be able to take the free interactive practice test (find it in the "Prepare" section), check available testing times, and sign up for your test. You won't have to pay for anything until you want to actually set an appointment. Need a computer to set up your account? No problem -- just come to study hall!
