Job 1 & Other Business & Career Solutions Centers

Students have told us that the Child Care Assistance Program generally will only pay for childcare AFTER you have begun a job or started attending school, but it can be hard to start a job or school before you get childcare.  Students sometimes find it hard to find childcare to cover that initial period.  The local Business & Career Solutions Center may be able to help cover that gap.  Consider registering with HiRE at www.louisianaworks.net/hire and then visiting their office to learn more.  For Orleans Parish, they’re located at 3400 Tulane Ave, in the Goodwill building.
