Finding & Applying for Jobs
Job search tools, resumes, interview prep

HiRE Registration
If you’re looking for a job, or on the search for a better job, consider registering with HiRE. After you complete the online registration process, you’ll be able to take career interest assessments, search for jobs that match your profile, create a resume, and even apply for jobs online. Registering with HiRE is also the first step if you’re trying to apply for unemployment benefits.

Job 1 and Orleans Youth Career Center
After you’ve registered with HiRE, you may want to meet with a career counselor at one of Louisiana Workforce Commission’s Business & Career Solutions Centers. In New Orleans, that would be Job 1, located at 3400 Tulane Ave. in the Goodwill building. The counselors can help you with your job search and unemployment benefits processes and they can help you find training opportunities that fit your interests. Sometimes they can even help pay for tuition, materials costs, transportation, daycare, etc. Click below to see a list of some of their services.

Delgado Community College's Career Services Office
If you’re a current college student at Delgado, you can get career help right on campus from Delgado Community College's Career Services office. Here’s what they say: “Career Services provides students and alumni with information regarding full-time and part-time jobs and offers them assistance in developing effective job search skills and strategies.
