ACE Weekly Update -- March 19th, 2017
What's Happening This Week: March 20th-27th
Reminder: Create a new schedule with your coach. If you haven't already done so, make sure to meet with your coach this week to choose your next adult education classes. Please do that instead of attending the scheduling sessions offered in class. We encourage you to think ahead about what times and types of classes best fit you.
Adult Education classes are off for a week! College and certification classes continue. Your new adult education classes will begin on Mon. March 27th or Tues. March 28th.
Your coach will be expecting you this week at your usual meeting time. If your schedule is different this week and you want to change your meeting time, make sure you communicate with your coach.
2017-2018 FAFSA
It's time to complete your 2017-2018 FAFSA if you haven't already done so! Did you know that Delgado has extra funds available to award on a competitive basis to students with high need and high GPA. However, you can only be considered for these funds if you've completed your financial aid process early!
HiSET graduation is around the corner!
Did you know that we do a cap-and-gown graduation ceremony each June for all the students who've passed their HiSET during this school year? There's still time to get on the graduation list! Anyone who passes all sections of the HiSET by the end of May is eligible to walk in graduation. Talk to your coach about making a plan!
Pedicab Race
Mark your calendar for Sunday, March 26th! The Youth Empowerment Project, a partner of ACE, is holding their first ever Pedal With Purpose fundraiser (the event will include a pedicab race and street fair along OC Haley Blvd between MLK Blvd and St Andrews St). Come out and show your support if you can! Find it on Facebook here.
